70% of Washingtonians will wind up needing long-term care at some point in our lives. We’ll need help with things like meals, chores, and daily tasks.

Thanks to the WA Cares Fund, working Washingtonians can access affordable long-term care at home through the Washington State program.

We are in favor of the WA Cares Fund and access to affordable long-term care at home. WA Cares benefits will allow us and our neighbors to get help at home when we become seriously injured or sick.

Without WA Cares, we won’t have access to long-term care at home. we won’t be able to afford expensive private insurance.

When the unexpected happens, WA Cares benefits will pay for us to receive care at home from someone we know and trust. We can also use the funds to hire a home health aide. It gives us a choice so we don’t have to rely on Medicaid when we’re seriously sick or injured.

WA Cares is a national model for providing workers with the care they need when injured, ill, or aging, and is being copied by other states around the country.
